Jim grew up near New Paris, Ohio.  He is a graduate  of Ohio State University and became a CPA in the early 1970s.  Jim began his accounting career with Geo. S. Olive & Co. and later opened his own public accounting practice, merging it with Jan Williams' practice in 1995. 

Over the years, Jim has served with many community organizations:  Richmond Jaycees, Eastern Indiana Junior Achievement, Indiana East Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants and his local church board. He also served on the Small Business Council of the Richmond-Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, the Richmond Halfway House Advisory Committee and on the Board of Directors of Whitewater Opera.

Jim's client base currently consists of individuals and a wide variety of businesses, including not-for-profits.
